This is another thrilling wine from Stéphane Riffault, a rosé with all the energy and mineral-drive of his whites, but with a structure and weight of fruit more akin to a light red. Unmistakeably – gloriously! – Pinot on the nose, with its aromas of summer pudding, rose garden and a subtle peppery lift. The eponymous vineyard’s limestone soil really shines through on the palate, which is juicy but with a fresh, cleansing stony character that lingers… lingers… lingers… until the next sip. Drink from summer 2023.
