Sourced from a handful of plots around the commune of La Morra, where the prevalence of sandy soil typically results in expressive, open-knit wines. The 2017 is spicy and rounded, with an engaging grippiness towards the finish. Fermented in stainless steel with three weeks’ maceration on the skins, it was then raised for 24 months in large oak botte.
