2022 Sancerre ‘Les Denisottes’, Domaine Claude Riffault
Charming and expressive, with aromas including ripe citrus, elderflower, grassy and smoky notes. There’s tremendous acidity here but it’s neatly packed in swathes of juicy fruit that caress the palate. Stéphane expects this wine to ‘elongate’ with time in the barrel, its mineral core becoming more prominent. Effortlessly long and moreish.
