An extra year on the lees in cask seems to have extracted every last iota of potential from what is a stellar vineyard. The ’22 is powerful yet nuanced, with hints of flinty reduction on the nose. Its tremendous concentration speaks of the warm growing season but above all the age of the vines here – some approaching a century.
