2019 Barbaresco Ovello, Cantina del Pino
The 2019 Ovello is a thoroughly engaging wine. It has a resounding mineral character, with grippy tannins, fresh acidity and aromas of blood orange, iron and cool black fruit. This terroir always needs time to express itself, but the 2019 has all the elements to be a showstopper in another five or so years.
