2019 Barbaresco Albesani, Cantina del Pino
Located right in the crook of an amphitheatre, Albesani retains plenty of warmth, and Franca likens the resulting wine to a vigorous young man, as opposed to the more cerebral Ovello. Her 2019 Albesani is characterised by a wealth of red summer fruit aromas. There’s a touch more give in the tannins, so this can be enjoyed from as early as 2024.
