2018 Novaia Amarone DOC Classico, Agricola Novaia

Made with a proportion of Ripasso grapes, and raised for 24 months barrel then a further 8 months in bottle, this is nonetheless about as fresh and delicate as Amarone comes – and all the better for it. It’s a wine to enjoy throughout one’s meal (not just with the cheese course). Expect floral, berry fruit, chocolate and warm spice aromas. The palate is velvety and plush, but with vibrant acidity and a purposeful, sapid finish.
