Arnaud Tessier and his partner Catherine are two of the hardest working people in Burgundy. Even when you are tasting out of barrel with them they seem to keep working whilst you take your notes. They have just finished exhaustive transformation of an old building into an impressive new cuverie which will allow them to keep more of the fruit that they produce. The couple have quickly made quite a name for themselves and we tend to run out of their wines well before the new vintage becomes available. Stylistically, the wines are racy, mineral driven, taut and focussed, just how we like them! New oak is sensitively handled and the wines sing with energy. The Bourgogne is an especially good buy coming from an excellent plot in Puligny and showing terrific bite and stoniness. We are hoping that with the extra space and following a vintage with more volume (2017) we will finally have some wines to sell!
`Meursault is currently burgeoning with new young vignerons carving a name for themselves and Arnaud Tessier is one of them.` Neal Martin, The Wine Advocate, February 2014.

This is in fact a Puligny Bourgogne rather than a Meursault one, though this example has a touch more richness than normal. There is some extract and plenty of mineral undertones. Lovely entry wine. Drink from 2018.
This vineyard actually lies in Puligny-Montrachet, which perhaps explains its taut, mouthwatering quality. For a humble Bourgogne it has excellent weight and extract and is certainly over-delivering. Drink from 2017.
From a vineyard close to Puligny this is a nice mix of bright freshness from the vineyard and easy roundedness from the vintage. Great value Bourgogne
