Didier Larue, aided by his brother, Denis, and his nephew, Bruno, continue to produce great value white Burgundy from his impressive cuverie in the village of Gamay, just next to St Aubin. With vineyards mainly in St Aubin, but also in Puligny and Chassagne, Didier’s approach is to make wines that respect their terroir but that also have a drinkability. They see around 20/25% new oak and are bottled about 15 months post vintage. This is a good source and prices remain much lower than elsewhere.
