This domaine has its origins in Hélène Defaix’s side of the family. It is located in Rully but the vinification takes place at the Chablis cuverie in Milly. The approach to the winemaking is very similar. Both Didier and Hélène are looking to make whites of great vivacity and minerality and reds of great elegance and sophistication. Impressively they succeed in doing both; fashioning reds with highly cultured tannins and whites of rare purity. This small estate is an exceptional address.

This is really quite grown up with wonderful polish and poise. Strawberries and cream aromas, silky tannins and stylish, fine featured fruit flavours. Drink from 2019.
This needs a couple of years in the cellars but you will be glad you showed patience. It has so much potential for a humble Rully. Glossy, sophisticated tannins bound up a palate of cool forest fruits and spice. This is elegant yet very intense and beautifully harmonious.
Bright, juicy, crunchy, almost succulent red fruits burst out of the glass and seduce with their ease and freshness. Delightful glass of pure Pinot.
