2016 Beaune 1er Cru Aigrots
Awaiting Tasting Note
`Winemaker Brian Sieve quipped that the 2016 Beaune 1er Cru Les Aigrots Blanc is a success, being the first year that they have made 12 barrels since 2011, the intervening years ravaged by hail. The nose is attractive with slightly muffled scents of dried apricot, almond and flecks of white chocolate. The palate is balanced, perhaps leaning toward a more exotic style of white Beaune, but the acidity keeps everything in check. The finish boasts decent length if not the tension of a really top wine, but otherwise, it is 12 barrels of a decent Beaune.` 87-89 points, Neal Martin, the Wine Advocate.
