2014 Schlossberg Riesling Trocken

Wine colour
Region
Germany > Mosel
Vintage:
2014
Producer:
Weingut Heinrichshof
Tasting Notes:

This is named after the ruins of a castle, in the Zeltlingen vineyards. It has fine, delicate stone fruit aromas and racy minerality, with a hint of richness on the palate. The wine will develop more weight with bottle age but is equally delicious and refreshing now as an aperitif. Excellent balance.

Press Reviews:

`If you are surprised about the names `Peter & Ulrich‘ on the capsules of their wines, you simply have to check out the names of the winery owners. Their surname is Griebeler and they are the 11th generation of winemakers running this family estate. Their wines leave a very positive impression. They are authentic, clean and there is still potential for improvement. We were especially impressed by the crisp and expressive Riesling Am Welbersberg Spätlese trocken and the clear and clean Riesling Auslese aus der Zeltinger Sonnenuhr.` Gault Millau 2016 `This is a very strong first presentation of a domaine, the wines have a clear style and should be watched in the future.` Eichelmann Wine Guide 2016 `Straight, pithy grapefruit on the nose. Very fruity on the palate, with real concentration of fruit and good length. This is very well balanced, with a good mineral finish.` 95 points, Matt Walls, Decanter
