Tasting Notes:

Awesome wine from a half hectare plot of 45 year old vines. No new oak but 18 months spent in large casks and bottled unfined and unfiltered. Great texture, purity, definition and energy. A Syrah for Burgundy lovers! Drink from 2018

Press Reviews:

`(sourced from the Cote Brune). Vivid purple. Intensely perfumed aromas of black and blue fruits, potpourri and bacon fat, with a bright mineral overtone. Juicy, penetrating and lithe, offering sappy boysenberry and cherry flavors lifted by bright acidity. An energized finish features silky tannins and a sexy floral pastille nuance` 92 points, Josh Raynolds, Stephen Tanzer`s International Wine Cellar `Dark and dense, but juicy and lively, with a brambly feel adding energy to the blackberry paste, steeped currant and smoldering tobacco leaf notes. Young, with chewy, almost hefty grip through the finish, but also excellent definition` 93 points, James Molesworth, Wine Spectator
