Tasting Notes:

Jessie enjoys the steepest aspect of the estate and produces arguably the most Burgundian-like wine of all the single vineyard offerings. This 2013 has a delightful mix of spice, red fruits and fresh, brambly Pinot character. Drink. 2019-2024

Press Reviews:

`Ruby-red. Highly perfumed scents of dark berries, cola and rose oil. Fleshy, expansive black raspberry and bitter cherry flavors display a suave blend of richness and energy, picking up a spicy character with air. Finishes juicy and very long, with lingering dark fruit flavors and slow-building tannins. Drink 2019-2024.` 92 Points, Josh Raynold, Vinous `The 2013 Pinot Noir Jessie Vineyard contains some fruit that was picked before the rain. It has a satisfying red cherry and wild strawberry bouquet, a subtle flinty note underneath, very Burgundian in style. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin - plenty of sappy red fruit, hints of dried orange peel and a touch of sea-salt, well balanced with a Pommard-like finish. I find this has more to offer than the Eileen Vineyard this year and it comes recommended. Drink. 2017-2029.` 91 Points, Neal Martin, eRobertParker.com
