2013 Cowley Vineyard Pinot Noir

Wine colour
Region
New Zealand > Marlborough
Vintage:
2013
Producer:
Corofin Winery
Tasting Notes:

The Cowley Vineyard is located in the Ben Morven foothills of Marlborough and with a planting density of 3,800 vines per hectare. This is very restrained in style for a New World Pinot Noir. Notes of sour cherries mixed with blueberries. It is the most perfumed of the Pinots with floral notes and aromas of Asian spices and earth. The palate also shows red cherry fruits with a fresh and vibrant acid backbone and finely structured tannins. Drink Now to 2019

Press Reviews:

`Bright rusty cherry red. Savoury, vegy, lifted nose. Very perfumed and charming. Lots of lovely juice and some hint of candied violets. Wonderfully frank and accessible. The Beaune to the Settlement Vineyard`s Nuits. Ready and hugely flattering.` - 17 points, Jancis Robinson MW, www.jancisrobinson.com
