Wine colour
Region
France > Burgundy > Côte de Nuits
Vintage:
2013

Domaine Taupenot-Merme
Tasting Notes:

This is one of the oldest plots in the domaine, the vines being ow 65 years old. Lying adjacent to the holy grail that is Musigny, this is a very superior 1er Cru. Great aromatics but on the nose and in the mouth and wonderful cohesion and harmony. Stunner. Drink from 2019

Press Reviews:

`The 2012 Chambolle-Musigny La Combe d`Orveau jumps from the glass with sweet red cherries, rose petals, mint and crushed rocks. Wonderfully alive and chiseled, the 2012 is another wine that showcases the minerality and tension that was possible to achieve in 2012. Expressive saline notes support the subtle and impeccably textured finish. This is a gorgeous showing from Romain Taupenot` 91-93/100 - Antonio Galloni, Vinous Tim Atkin MW, Burgundy 2013 Report, 94 Points. `Romain Taupenot has made some outstanding reds in 2013, characterised by elegance and fine fruit flavours. This beautifully fragrant Chambolle is very pale in colour, with velvety tannins, raspberry and wild strawberry fruit sweetness, nuanced oak and a subtle, chalky finish. More forward than the 2012 was at this stage.` 2018-26
