`A blend from two crus. Lurghe and Guardie. Palish mid ruby with bricky rim. Quite tight, sweet and a little savoury on the nose. Fine, juicy cherry fruit with a powdery tannic spine. Burgundian in style, unostentatious yet deep and long. Highly original.` - 17.5points, Walter Speller, www.jancisrobinson.com, drink from 2016-2028

`A delightful blend of Nebbiolo from Guardie and Lurghe crus, it`s predictably pale for this grape and smells savoury with leather and nuts - showing the beginnings of development but in a brooding, enticing way. Fresh in acidity with sour black cherry depth and finely grained tannins. It`s polished, flavoursome, long and makes a very nice alternative to Barolo or Barbaresco. Goes with duck and mild game, game birds, mushroom and truffles.` 93 points, The Wine Gang, Sept 2017
