2011 Beaune 1er Cru Les Grèves
Quite simply, this is about as good as red Beaune gets. Powerful, scented and beautifully structured. Not the cheap- est Beaune you`ll ever buy but one of the very best. Drink from 2016.
`This gives away a bit of elegance for more complexity, particularly on the cool, pure and airy nose that displays notes of plum, earth, iron and underbrush. There is a slightly smoky character to the round, supple and solidly well-concentrated medium-bodied flavors that offer very fine depth on the balanced and lingering finish. This cellar-worthy effort is the most complete wine among the three Beaune 1ers in 2011. Drink 2019+`. 89-92 points, Burghound
