This is made from Nerello Mascalese of a 70-100 year old vineyard, planted to pre-phylloxera vines on the slopes of Mount Etna. The wine shows aromatics like dried flowers as well as dark berry flavours and is well balanced. It is a vibrant wine which nearly resembles a Pinot Noir.
This is made from the local Nerello Mascalese. A wine of pale ruby red colour which has ripe dark cherry and berry fruit flavours, dried herbs, and a hint of cedar and sweet spices from oak barrels. The tannins are ripe and silky, yet offer a fine amount of structure. A beautifully balanced wine which has a similar weight to red Burgundy.
