2021 Mount Jefferson Pinot Noir, Cristom Vineyards

Mt. Jefferson Cuvée comes from vineyards that can be seen from the window of the winery and is a representation of the Cristom approach to winemaking from some of the finest vineyards in the Eola-Amity Hills with a focus on fruit from the estate. Always made with a high percentage of whole-clusters and native yeast, Paul describes says ‘Mt. Jeff is the foundation of our winery and flagship wine of our brand’. We have not had a chance to taste the 2021 Mount Jefferson (until our USA tasting), but are very excited about the prospect. After the challenges of 2020, 2021 is a year of abundance and quality. It had a long, slow ripening curve and is already considered and outstanding year for Oregon Pinot Noir or in the words of one grower “2021 is everything growers and winemakers could have hoped for!”
