2020 Rancho Chimiles Sparkling Valdigié, Cruse Wine Co.
The 2020 Sparkling Valdiguié (also known as Napa Gamay) is from Terry Wilson’s Rancho Chimiles vineyard in Wooden Valley, Napa Valley AVA. A cooler region in south Napa, nestled against the Vacas mountains with 40+ year old vines. The wine is a pale, watermelon pink colour and the nose is wildly effusive, with candied strawberries and classic rose notes that come from this vineyard. The palate is intensely vinous, with a creamy mousse.
