Two hundred years later, this famous champagne house still operates under the management of the Billecart family which is now in its 7th generation, making this one of the oldest running family-owned champagne houses. Though, it wasn’t so long ago that this brilliant Champagne house was the new kid on the block; a new name that the cognoscenti quickly latched on to as offering much more quality than the complacent houses that had previously dominated the market. Today they are very much part of the mainstream but have lost none of that sense of independence and quality, remaining a go to source for those in the know. These are lovely Champagnes with an incredibly loyal and passionate following. The Billecart house style focusses on elegance, purity, and unlike other Champagne houses, holds a focus on Pinot Meunier, which represents around 40% of their NV blend.
