About Chanterêves:

Guillaume and Tomoko set up Chanterêves in time for the 2010 vintage. Prior to that, Tomoko had been making wine in the Rheingau, and Guillaume was, and still is, winemaker at Domaine Bize, just up the road in Savigny. They have various contracts in place to buy fruit, focussing mainly on appellations in the Côte de Beaune, although they branched out in 2015 when they got their eager hands on some 1er Cru Nuits. They seem equally adept at making both red and white wine; their gentle approach to vinification being evident in both colours. Going forward, they would like to acquire some vineyards of their own, but with land prices, as they are, they may have to wait a while. In the meantime, they have constructed themselves a smart new cuverie on the outskirts of Savigny, which gives them more space and more control to work their undoubted magic.
